SECAC is comprised of parents/guardians, Montgomery County Public 学校 (威尼斯官网在线) staff members, and representatives of Montgomery County community groups that advocate for students with special needs and serve to advocate for, 并建议, the Office of Special Education (OSE).

The public is welcome to attend.

Each meeting has public comments from 7:00–7:15 p.m. If you are interested in giving public comment, please sign up ahead of the meeting using 这种形式. No decision will be made on public comment items during actual SECAC meeting. Any information will be handled outside the meeting through appropriate 威尼斯官网在线 staff members. Public comment participants will have three minutes.

Please review the 威尼斯官网在线 SECAC Public Comment Ground Rules.  No comments should be made that are derogatory or critical of specific 威尼斯官网在线 staff members or any other individual on any level. Issues of concern brought forth in public comments should be expressed in global terms. If there is a time sensitive "personal" situation please alert SECAC联合主席 so they might help you and direct you to appropriate staff members to help resolve the issue.

Public comments are followed with updates by the directors from the Department of Special Education 服务 (DSES).
